C6 Electrical

I have an issue with the electrical momentarily disconnecting which, when running, shuts down momentarily and can be restarted if stopped or engaging the engine while moving which will start the engine. I have replaced at 7 year old battery and it still shuts down. Electrical wakes up when activating something. While testing I opened the driver door and the window dropped slightly but will not return to normal. Any suggestions?

I hate electrical gremlins.  I’d search the internet to see if someone else has reported anything like you’re experiencing. But you already have.

LB...have your looked at the ground bolt to the block from the starter? If it is  loose it will  wiggle around, in turn shutting  the car off and on intermittently. Tightened it back up if needed and it may be the easy fix to your issue. If this doesn't work try changing out the start button next. If still no fix its an ECM issue.

This is how you re index the widows after replacing the battery. It is always recommended to make sure your windows are fully up when changing your battery.

Sorry battery change did not correct problem.  Sounds like you need to reindex your windows after battery change.

After a power reconnect such as battery replacement, the
window index-up feature will not function until the system
is initialized. Once power is restored, do the following:
1. Close the door.
2. Raise the window by pulling up the switch.
3. Hold the up switch for three seconds after the
window is closed. Release the switch.
4. Hold the up switch again for three seconds and
release.

I took care of the window issue. It dawned on me that I needed to index them. All done.

Drove the car today and all worked just fine. I still plan to take it to dealer to check the grounding possibility.

Worked fine until 10/10. Took car for inspection 10/11. All was fine again and it passed inspection. I now have more documentation to pass on to the mechanic.
