Abnormal Inside Edge Tire Wear C5 Z06
Quote from Frank Everitt on June 4, 2020, 10:40 amIn our meeting the other night we talked about inside edge tire wear on a Z06. My experience with this issue on my '04 Z06 was exactly what one of our members was describing. I explained that I had the camber on the front wheels set up +.5*. This stopped the inside edge tire wear but it did affect the cornering of the car. For me, that wasn't an issue and since these tires are expensive, it was a good compromise.
I've attached the alignment specs of the adjustments of the vehicle. The first picture (0.jpg) is when I had the alignment checked within in a week of picking up the car back on '04. The second picture (0-1.jpg) is when I had to replace the tires at 21k miles where steel cords were showing through on the inside edges.
