In a week and a half, on October 1st, we’re heading north to Valentines, VA for a cruise and picnic, weather permitting. This is the lake house of Doug and Gail Jones, located on Lake Gaston just over the NC/VA state line. They have generously invited us to come to their home away from home for a picnic. I’m sure Doug will be eager to give us a tour of his “train room” on the second floor of his very large garage. Their address is 16 Pleasant Points Rd., Valentines, VA.
